Normandy Storm


D-Day Storm

Because of the stormy weather of D-Day during World War II, thirteen Liberty Ships are deliberately scuttled on the beaches of Normandy to form a breakwater. Landing ships and docks are heavily damaged, but the invasion is successful and “Fortress Europe” is cracked.
