The Pony Express


The Pony Express
April 3, 1860

As more miners and settlers poured into the West, the demand for swifter communication was met by the Pony Express. Letters were delivered in ten days between Missouri and California. They were carried mostly by teenaged boys, armed and always ready for danger.
