...Mort Künstler painted many illustrations for the hunting and fishing magazines during the 1950's and 1960's

During this period it seemed that whenever there was a script involving a bear, Mort Künstler was called on to illustrate the story. This painting appeared in the April 1957 issue of Sports Afield, for a story called Top of the World by Jean Caesar.
