Lincoln, The Railsplitter

The son of Thomas Lincoln, a poor farmer, he spent his childhood and youth in the backwoods of Kentucky and Indiana helping to run the farm and doing odd jobs such as railsplitting and working as a flatboatman on the Mississippi.
