A Winchester boys' school has honored the official artist of the film "Gods and Generals," but not for his art. Timber Ridge School will call its latest dorm the "Mort Kunstler Residence Hall." Kunstler is well-known for his depictions of history, especially scenes from the Civil War. But Kunstler also has provided artwork for Christmas ornaments sold by the school as a fundraiser.

Kunstler said "as a matter of fact, I talked to a young man interested in art, and he was showing me his drawings. It thrills me to death. There's nothing better than teaching or working with kids."

John Markwood, School Director, said "they say, 'Our dorm is the bomb, we have all these paintings and everyone else is going to be jealous...' and to watch him interact with the students - that's what's really awesome."

The new dorm displays Kunstler's artwork. The school educates boys who have had a history of behavioral problems.
