Mort Kunstler studied art at Brooklyn College, UCLA, and Pratt Institute. One of America's foremost painters of historical subjects, he has been recognized for both the accuracy and artistic mastery of his paintings. Mr. Kunstler has had numerous exhibitions at museums and galleries throughout the United States, including his twelfth one-man show at Hammer Galleries in New York in December 2000. Since 1988, he has focused his work exclusively on the American Civil War.
