Topping Off the Wagon |
| On a day like today in 1930’s...
Throughout the Midwest this sort of scene was still taking place. Today, only the equipment has changed. Farmers will still finger the harvested wheat even though their instruments for measuring humidity are extremely accurate. The pick up truck has replaced the horses and wagon and a modern combine has replaced the early equipment shown here but the men remain the same; “The Backbone of America.”
