Mort Künstler's older sister would come home from kindergarten with drawings that she had done. At the age of 2-1/2, Künstler would copy them. His parents encouraged him by buying him art supplies. By the time he was going to school, he was drawing quite well. Künstler did this drawing of a lamp when he was about six years old!
